hi.

My name is Haven Hartman-Briscoe, and I am a native Angeleno, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. A recovered actress, I began competing in beauty pageants at 2 1/2, and moved on to modeling and acting at the ripe old age of 4. I was always around creativity and was able to do some really neat things, like study Shakespeare in London, voice numerous characters with Hanna Barbara, strangle Christopher Reeve with a locket, and play a Manson girl in a movie called 'The Beach Boys: An American Family.'

I discovered my love of photography almost by accident in 7th grade, when I needed to come up with a project for art class, but recognized my drawing talents were (really) abysmal. I convinced my mom to drive me all over the valley so I could photograph things that were yellow, ultimately naming this staggering work of genius, you guessed it, "Yellow." Later, I went on to hone my skills at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, where I fell in love with film and the darkroom.

Upon graduation, it was back to Los Angeles, where I worked with and for some incredible photographers. Now married to a boy I met in college (hi, Joe!), I live in Mid City with my husband, the lights of my life, River (6) and Goldie (5), and a slightly feral cat named Ollie.

I would love nothing more than to help you chronicle your family as you bloom and grow together.
